The Ignite NextGen Summer Fellowship program is a six-week leadership training program designed to prepare young leaders (“college student, recent graduate, and young professional” range) by developing key skills and adapting their mindsets for success in both their lives and professional careers.

One of the highlights of this six-week program is the rare opportunity to connect with successful Korean American leaders from diverse backgrounds and fields. Through focused group coaching, webinars and panels with top leaders, and group discussions with peers, the Ignite NextGen Fellowship Program will equip young leaders with the tools to navigate the rapidly-changing professional world and challenges posed by a disrupted economic and social landscape.

Led by our IgniteNextGen team of creative innovators and leaders, our fellowship program will delve into subjects such as leadership, public speaking, team-building, communication, mental resilience, and confidence. In addition, our program will explore critical issues that the Korean and Asian American community often faces in the workplace, such as stereotyping, microaggressions, and more.

As young leaders, what can we do to shift the narrative around Asian Americans and build greater confidence as a leader to motivate us and others to move forward? See below for a sneak preview of the program:

In summary, the Ignite NextGen Fellowship Program will be an amazing opportunity for students to learn practical skills, build mental strength, and connect with a vibrant community seeking to invest in the next generation of leaders.

Best of all, due to the generosity of many Korean American leaders, applying for and participating in the Ignite NextGen Fellowship Program is absolutely free. However, due to availability, interested applicants will need to submit an application by Sunday, June 7 (11:59 PDT).

We are looking to accept up to 20 individuals for our inaugural Ignite NextGen Fellowship Program. The program will officially commence on June 22, and will require a 10-15 hour weekly time commitment for six weeks (June 22 to July 31).

Come join this opportunity that will instill courage, inspiration, and clarity in young leaders.

Again, fellowship applications are due by Sunday, June 7, 2020, so please share widely with your friends and peers, mentees and students alike.

The Emerging Leaders Summit and IgniteNextGen Series are presented in partnership by the Council of Korean Americans and the Korean American Coalition – Los Angeles.
