Giboom (기쁨) Park

Giboom Park is a rising junior at Northwestern University triple majoring in political science, international studies, and history–passionate about Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) representation and racial equity. She is currently serving as an editor for the Yappie, a student-led national newsletter on AAPI news and politics, while simultaneously preparing for the publishing of her upcoming book, Yellow Fever. Concurrently, she is working on the National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum’s federal advocacy board to promote the HEAL for Immigrant Women and Families Act for immigrant families as well as working as a fellow at the HANA Center to help with community organizing in Chicago’s immigrant community. She hopes to learn crucial leadership and organizing skills from this fellowship in order to promote a better world for immigrants and underrepresented populations in the United States.
