Iris is a rising fourth year at Vanderbilt University studying Neuroscience and Medicine, Health, and Society (MHS) with a self-directed track in Critical Health Studies. Born and raised in Fairfax, Virginia, she is curious to learn more about the efforts of AAPI health advocates in underserved communities.
On-campus, Iris has served as the president of the Asian American Student Association and founded MoveMENTAL, an organization dedicated to normalizing conversations on mental health. She is passionate about mental health disparities and interested in the larger scale of global humanitarian health issues, particularly in the DPRK. In her free time, Iris likes to watch emotional movies, read, and draw her food. She looks forward to challenging her current perspective on community health and building lasting relationships within the CKA network.
