Summer Series: Session #2

Theme 2: Problem Solving & Communication

“Korean American Leadership: Authentic Stories of Struggles & Success”

Amid COVID-19, school closures, and canceled opportunities, the IgniteNextGen Summer Series provides a virtual career-focused leadership webinar series. This program empowers young leaders for a more significant impact in their local communities through identity-building, forming more robust professional networks, honing public speaking skills, and promoting self-growth.

For the first Summer Series session, we explored themes of Identity and History with Dr. Stephanie Han. For this session, we shifted our focus to Problem Solving and Communication in leadership.

We kicked off our second Summer Series webinar with a panel of Korean American leaders in diverse industries. These panelists shared with young leaders how they walked the unpaved road in their careers and how they are navigating COVID-19 challenges differently as a leader in their communities:

  • Jeanie Chang, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist & Certified Clinical Trauma Professional
  • Connie Chung Joe, JDExecutive Director, Korean American Family Services (KFAM)
  • Tad Hun YoExecutive Director, Asian Baseball Operation at the Boras Corporation
  • Stephen Seo, Chief Investment Officer, RVW Wealth, LLC
